I invite you to come with me on a journey-a journey through life. In your passage through life, you want to be fully in charge of the route, the events, and the destination. As we travel, you need a clear view of where you have come from, where we are today and where you will be going. I believe I have a sincere story to present to you, my life as a Jehovah’s Witness: “Used Abused and Forgotten.” In my story there are many events that have adversely affected me as I grew up. I speak of the wrongs I have suffered, and of those who inflicted them; the memories of painful experiences and harmful early influences and unpleasant past events. Together we will consider the importance of what happens when one’s life is decimated by control in the name of religion.

Reading Fallen, but Not Forgotten is like looking through a window into the life of Frances Munson as she reclaims the life God laid out for her, the life she tried so hard to throw awayby making bad choice after bad choice. She opens her life up to the reader, not as some autobiographical novel, but as a living example of what God can and will do in a broken life. It isnt a warm and fuzzy, feel-good read like often seen, but a raw and revealing look at her life, the good, the bad, and the otherwise. She honestly discusses her mistakes, bad choices, and the opportunities God gave her to make a change. You see how God in His loving role as a Father began by whispering and did not give up until He finally shook her world to pieces to get her attention. With nothing left, but the consequences of her actions, she sought Him, and is now using her life, and her past filled with mistakes and pain, to help others. She is dedicating her life to showing others what she has learned through it all, that no matter how far you fall, God Never forgets you, Never abandons you, Never gives up on you, and you Never fall below His Grace or Mercy!

Everyone needs love—true, unconditional love. But what if you have known nothing but bullying, rejection, mental/physical abuse (including sexual abuse), self-mutilation, despair, and utter hopelessness? And what if you feel that you are not worthy of love, and blame yourself for all the ills that have befallen you? Is true love attainable? Based on real events, Looking for Love is the story about Danielle, a solitary, suicidal teenager who battles constant and incessant abuse. She lives a life in pursuit of love, craving just a scintilla of affection from her parents and the gentle touch of her mother. Transferring from one school to another, she is always the outcast where no one even talks to her. Almost everyone can point to an event in their lives that changed them forever. If only Danielle would have known about a certain thing in elementary school, her life would have taken a totally different direction. But not knowing that one thing led to more bullying and further crushed her already-fragile emotional state. When you have no friends; when no one talks to you or even acknowledges your presence; when your father ignores you; when you're the product of a mixed marriage and your racist mother berates you and detests your mere existence because you are the "wrong" skin color; when you can't trust anyone; and when you even question your sexual identity, what do you do? Is there an escape from bullying, abuse, despair, rejection, and utter hopelessness? Looking for Love is about hope, resiliency, and the quest for true love.

The current homeless crisis in the UK has become a major concern across a broad spectrum of society. In particular, homelessness is a tragedy for vulnerable young people, many of whom do not want a hand-out but rather an opportunity to lead a normal life. The issues raised in the book are supported by many real life experiences from young people in crisis.

Back Page Without my past, I would never be who I am today. God has taken all the pain and turned it around for my good and heaven's gain. Once you walk through the door of healing, it's your responsibility to embrace your healing. We can get deliverance and still not be free. We can be delivered from abuse, but never truly free because we are still looking through eyes and mindset of the abused victim. Once healed, don't look back at what you were or what happened to you. You are a new person in Christ. Move pass your past. Just like an animal who was raised in a cage and never let out, let someone open the door. It will never go out because it doesn't realize it's free. We can get delivered and never walk through the open door or shake off the chains that have us bound. What the devil meant for your harm, God can turn it around for your good and his glory, only if you are willing to allow him into your brokenness. Until you let your past die, it will not let your future live. You have to forgive even yourself. Great people of faith, they follow Jesus away from the pain of the past. Take the path God has chosen for you, not the path man told you to go down.

Winner of the 2010 Lane Anderson Award Drawing on breakthrough research in evolution, genetics, and on their extensive work in the field and lab, wildlife biologists John and Mary Theberge explain for non-scientists the real facts of life. Birds that suddenly grow gall bladders, when their species has none. Moose with antlers so big they encumber their movement through the forest. Butterflies that risk extinction by overwintering en masse. These are just a few stories the Theberges tell in their examination of what the mechanisms of evolution are and how they work. With examples from the very latest discoveries in genetics and ones they have made in their own field work, The Ptarmigan's Dilemma is a ground-breaking explanation of evolution for non-scientists. By marrying the separate sciences of ecology and genetics, the Theberges paint a picture far richer than either discipline can alone of how, for almost 4 billion years, life on Earth has evolved into the rich diversity that's under threat today. Along the way, they explain just what "the survival of the fittest" really means, how dramatic evolutionary changes can take place in just one generation, and how our too-little knowledge of or interest in how life on Earth organizes and supports itself is rapidly making us a danger to ourselves. But when her great-grandson Jamie, the spitting image of her dear late husband, asks about his family tree, Winnifred can’t lie any longer, even if it means breaking a promise she made so long ago... 1936 Fifteen-year-old Winny has never known a real home. After running away from an abusive stepfather, she falls in with Mary, Jack, and their ragtag group of friends roaming the streets of Liverpool. When the children are caught stealing food, Winny and Mary are left in Dr. Barnardo’s Barkingside Home for Girls, a local home for orphans and forgotten children found in the city’s slums. At Barkingside, Winny learns she will soon join other boys and girls in a faraway place called Canada, where families and better lives await them. But Winny’s hopes are dashed when she is separated from her friends and sent to live with a family that has no use for another daughter. Instead, they have paid for an indentured servant to work on their farm. Faced with this harsh new reality, Winny clings to the belief that she will someday find her friends again. Inspired by true events, The Forgotten Home Child is a moving and heartbreaking novel about place, belonging, and family—the one we make for ourselves and its enduring power to draw us home.
