Explanation of the Book:

There are 13 ancient history books that are mentioned and recommended by the Bible. The Ancient Book of Jasher is the only one of the 13 that still exists. It is referenced in Joshua 10:13; 2 Samuel 1:18; and 2 Timothy 3:8. This volume contains the entire 91 chapters plus a detailed analysis of the supposed discrepancies, cross-referenced historical accounts, and detailed charts for ease of use. As with any history book there are typographical errors in the text but with three consecutive timelines running though the histories it is very easy to arrive at the exact dates of recorded events. It is not surprising that this ancient document confirms the Scripture and the chronology given in the Hebrew version of the Old Testament, once and for all settling the chronology differences between the Hebrew Old Testament and the Greek Septuagint. Explanation of the Book:

The Book of Jasher (also, Jashar) or the Book of the Upright or the Book of the Just Man is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. The translation "Book of the Just Man" is the traditional Greek and Latin translation, while the transliterated form "Jasher" is found in the King James Bible, 1611.According to the Medieval Jewish scholar Rashi, Sefer HaYashar refers to the Pentateuch, as a fulfillment of Jacob's prophecy regarding Ephraim - "His seed will fill the nations" (Gen. 48:19) - and that this prophecy refers to Joshua's renown after the miracle of the standing of the sun.

Explanation of the Book:

The Holy Spirit inspired Jude to quote Enoch for a reason. The Ancient Book of Enoch opens by addressing those in the Tribulation period. It contains numerous prophecies about the flood and fire judgments, and the two comings of the Messiah. It teaches that the Messiah is the Son of God and that He will shed His blood to redeem us and even predicts the generation that this would occur! The book of Enoch prophesies a window of time in which the Second Coming would occur and prophesies that there will be twenty-three Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in fifty-eight terms from AD 1948 to the beginning of the Tribulation period, and much more. Even though it prophecies that the Bible would be created and says we will be judged by our obedience to the Bible, it also makes it clear that this book is not to be added to the Canon of Scripture. The Ancient Book of Enoch recounts the history of the angels that fell in the days of Jared, Enoch's father. It testifies to their marriages with human women and their genetic experiments. This commentary includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did their genetic tampering. The commentary is from a fundamentalist Christian view, brought to you by Biblefacts Ministries, biblefacts.org.

Explanation of the Book:

Written by Gad, seer of King David, about 1000 BC, this book of prophecy is recommended reading by the Bible, but was never included in the Canon. It was thought to have been lost over three millennia ago. The books of Gad, Nathan, Ahijah, Shemaiah and Iddo are referred to as "The Lost Five." This long-lost book includes two revealing sermons given by King David. We have a prophecy that outlines the end times beginning with the Rapture, the seven-year tribulation and the establishment of Christ's millennial reign. More intriguing than that, it actually reveals who Mystery Babylon is and how it tries to destroy the Jews though a union with Islam, both groups having different replacement theology religions. There are also two discussions on how the Law of Moses views Gentiles. Do they keep the whole Law or not? This book is a real eye-opener for those who are interested in Bible prophecy and Messianic Judaism. Brought to you by Bible Facts Ministries, biblefacts.org

Explanation of the Book:

The Book of Jasher is twice mentioned in the Bible. In order to distinguish this work from the Pseudo-Jasher, it carries the title ?The Ancient Book of Jasher?. The transcript has been carried out faithfully except for a number of minor amendments. It is a shame that in most publications of the Book of Jasher, the supportive documents that prove its origin are missing, as if evidence that testifies to its veracity is difficult to bear. But here they are. What is new, is a division in sections, which makes easy reading. You?ll find a good Analytical Index, and that's always helpful. The prelimenary remarks, made by the present publisher, gives a better feel about the authenticity of this truly amazing book that, by the way, is still being printed in the original Hebrew, in a mode of writing that carries the patina of its age.

Explanation of the Book:

The Book of Jubilees is also called the Little Genesis, Book of Divisions, and the Apocalypse of Moses. It repeats the events of Genesis and Exodus from Creation to the Exodus of the Children of Israel from Egypt. It recounts the events in sets of jubilees (sets of 49 years) and gives additional details such as the fall of the angels, and the creation and destruction of the Nephilim. It also mentions the three classes of pre-flood Nephilim. It details the fact that one-tenth of their disembodied spirits would remain on earth as demons to tempt people and nine-tenths would be chained until the Tribulation Period. Explanation of the Book:

According to some sources, this book was once the original start of the Bible. We do know at one time that it was once part of the Bible, being referred to in Joshua and Second Samuel. It also survived the burning of the Alexandria Library in about 389 AD due to a fast acting custodian. Albinus Alcuin later found this work and did the original translation of it from Hebrew in 800 AD. It was later suppressed but rediscovered in 1829, when it was once again suppressed. Only now has it reemerged to become widely available and judged properly for its value. Note: A more common 64 page version is in circulation, but is a proven forgery.

The book's authors clear away centuries of confusion surrounding subjects that are seldom addressed in modern sermons and Bible studies. Using the ancient Hebrew language and culture, the authors clarify many of the Bible's so-called "mysteries" and help the reader rediscover many of the foundational truths that have been "lost in translation." Topics include: Who is the Bride of Messiah? Is there a difference between covenant and testament? Israel: Who are they really? What is the difference between devils, demons, and nephilim? Join us on an exciting adventure to rediscover the treasures still buried within the pages of The Book that reveal the pathway to the heart of God. "A must-read for the church! Providing foundational insights which lead to a greater understanding of God's master plan, this book will open your eyes to scriptural distortions due to the centuries of Greek influence on the church." - Corey Berti, Senior Pastor, Silver Valley Worship Center, ID "I've been a believer for 12 years, and I've read numerous scriptures that didn't make sense. The authors do a tremendous job of explaining the importance of understanding our Hebrew roots which provide context and clarity to the overall theme of God's message. It's like watching TV in black and white and then suddenly seeing it in color. The truth hasn't changed, but it's meaning becomes more vivid." - Jason Carr"

The Book of Jasher, a lost book of the Bible comprising ninety-one chapters, is presented here complete in the celebrated 1840 English translation by Moses Samuel. Referenced twice in the New Testament scripture - once in Joshua and once in Second Samuel - the Book of Jasher is also known as the Sefer haYashar or the Book of the Upright. Its contents are wide-ranging; the creation of Man and the story of Adam and Eve, and the descendants of Noah comprise part of the text. The testing of Abraham by God also features, while Abraham's dialogue is notably expanded far beyond what is said in the Hebrew Bible. The text has gained a great following since its translation to English in the mid-19th century. The Church of Latter-Day Saints founder Joseph Smith praised its detail, noting the book's elaboration on the condition of the Earth following the Great Flood.

Explanation of the Book:

The Book of Jasher and the Holy Bible - A Parallel Reading. While reading through The Book of Jasher I found myself often flipping through the Pentateuch for cross referencing. Hence the idea for this book. You will find an amazing amount of almost word-for-word parallels which lead one to wonder if perhaps one was a source for the other, or at the very least Moses and the author(s) of this book drew from the same oral traditions. To me this speaks well of the historical accuracy of this text and that it isn't some authors imaginative "filling in" details in the Biblical record.

Explanation of the Book:

In this re-edited book version of The Book of Jasher, The Clan, the year is 2025. Man’s most ancient and feared enemy still walks the earth and has been consolidating his power and marshaling his dark forces for thousands of years. He is the man of shadows, and he has only one agenda: to establish a one-world order where he controls our destiny. For him, there can be no other purpose for power. Now only one man, Benjamin Jasher, stands between this same dark ruler and the goal of the same ancient society, not because he is more cunning but because he has the means to expose this dark adversary for what he is and what he wants: he is the Beast, and he intents for all to carry his mark.

Explanation of the Book:

The Bible, as we hold it today, is esteemed by many religious institutions and especially Conservative Christians to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God. This doctrinal position affirms that the Bible is unlike all other books or collections of works in that it is free of error due to having been “given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Tim. 3:16, 17). While no other text can claim this same unique authority, Apocryphal and Pseudepigraphal literature such as contained in this volume of The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts (Volume One—The Apocrypha: Includes the Books of Enoch, Jasher, and Jubilees), provides literature that often precedes or follows the chronology of biblical texts, which frequently are used or assigned as supplemental works within academic settings to help students and scholars discover or better understand cultural and historical context within the Word of God. Whether or not the information contained in the apocryphal literature is entirely precise—as is the canon of Scripture—these ancient texts provide commentators’ valuable insight into what many ancient Jews and early Christians believed when, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets” (Heb. 1:1). The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts is therefore intended to be a supplemental resource for assisting serious researchers and students in the study of the Bible and Bible times. Contained in this volume: The Book of Enoch, The Book of Jasher, The Book of Jubilees, 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, Susanna, Prayer of Azariah, Prayer of Manasseh, Bel and the Dragon, and Laodiceans.
